- Johan Edlund (* 9. März 1971) ist ein schwedischer Sänger, Gitarrist und Keyboarder. Er ist Gründungsmitglied der Band Tiamat und betreibt mit Lucyfire noch ein Solo-Projekt. Im Jahr 1998 verließ er Stockholm Richtung Deutschland. Zuerst lebte er in Dortmund, dann in Berlin und anschließend in Hamburg. Danach zog es ihn wieder nach Dortmund, bevor er nach Thessaloniki in Griechenland umzog. Dort lebt er mit seiner Lebensgefährtin zusammen. Im gleichen Jahr steuerte Edlund ein Remix zu der Rammstein-Single Stripped bei. Auf dem im Jahr 2000 erschienenen Album The Dream Sequencer der niederländischen Band Ayreon übernahm Edlund für ein Lied den Gesang. Außerdem veröffentlichte er im Jahr 2001 unter dem Namen Lucyfire das Album This Dollar Saved My Life at Whitehorse. Musikalisch ist dieses dem Dark Rock und Alternative Rock zuzuordnen. - Johan Edlund (born 9 March 1971) is a Swedish singer, guitarist, and keyboardist and leader of the bands Tiamat and Lucyfire. He has also re-mixed songs for Rammstein and London After Midnight. He was also a guest singer in the Dutch progressive metal project, Ayreon. Edlund was born in Södertälje, Stockholm County. At the beginning of his career, he relied solely on death grunts for singing but later switched to deep, baritone vocals, in part because Tiamat underwent a significant shift in musical styles during the middle of the 1990s. He lives in Nova Scotia with his Canadian wife and family. He lived in Thessaloniki, Greece for 13 years, where he also became a supporter of Greek football club PAOK. (en)

Działalność artystyczną rozpoczął pod koniec lat 80. XX w. w death-blackmetalowej formacji Treblinka. W międzyczasie występował także w River's Edge przekształconym następnie w zespół Expulsion. Od 1988 roku jest liderem, głównym kompozytorem, a także wokalistą formacji Tiamat (wcześniej znaną pod nazwą Treblinka). W 2008 roku wraz z zespołem uzyskał nominację do nagrody szwedzkiego przemysłu muzycznego Grammis. Nagrywał także w ramach projektu Lucyfire. Wykonał również szereg remiksów piosenek grup Rammstein, Lacrimosa i . Gościnnie śpiewał w holenderskim progresywno-metalowym projekcie Ayreon. Muzyk jest endorserem gitar polskiego producenta Mayones. Firma produkuje sygnowany instrument pod nazwą Maestro Johan Edlund Signature. W 1995 roku przeprowadził się do Dortmundu w Niemczech. Od 2005 roku mieszka w Salonikach w Grecji. W 2002 roku wystąpił w epizodycznej roli w filmie koprodukcji szwedzko-duńskiej pt. Lilja 4-ever w reżyserii Lukasa Moodyssona. (pl)
