James Stephen "Jim" Hogg (March 24, 1851 – March 3, 1906) was an American lawyer and statesman, and the 20th Governor of Texas. He was born near Rusk, Texas. Hogg was a follower of the conservative New South Creed which became popular following the U.S. Civil War, and was also associated with populism. He was the first Texas Governor to have been born in Texas. Jim Hogg County is named after him.

Demokraterna hade länge dominerat politiken i Texas men Hogg visade sig såpass kontroversiell att han omvaldes med en pluralitet av rösterna. Demokraterna fick mindre än 50% av rösterna i guvernörsvalet 1892 men Hogg vann ändå, eftersom Republikanska partiet och Populistpartiet splittrade sinsemellan resten av väljarunderstödet. År 1895 efterträddes Hogg som guvernör av Charles Allen Culberson. Hogg avled 1906 i Houston och gravsattes på Oakwood Cemetery i Austin. Jim Hogg County har fått sitt namn efter Jim Hogg. (sv)
