Jean-François Seznec is a political scientist specializing in business and finance in the Middle East. He is currently an adjunct professor in the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at the Johns Hopkins University, and at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business and Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, in Washington, D.C.. Seznec was previously visiting associate professor at the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies at Georgetown University, where he taught from 2001 to 2012. His teaching and research interests are in the Persian Gulf region with special focus on the political and social variables that influence the economic development of the region.
