- Jan Rusinek (Cracòvia, Polònia, 2 de desembre de 1950) és un matemàtic polonès i compositor de problemes d'escacs, particularment destacat pels seus brillants finals artístics. Va ser editor de la secció d'estudis de Szachy (Escacs) des del 1971 fins a la clausura de la revista el 1990. Rusinek va esdevenir Jutge Internacional de composicions d'escacs el 1983, i Gran mestre de composició d'escacs el 1992. Ha guanyat més de 30 primers premis en concursos de composició. - Jan Rusinek (born 2 December 1950) is a Polish mathematician and chess composer, particularly noted for his brilliant endgame studies. He was editor of the study section of Szachy (Chess) from 1971 to the magazine's closure in 1990. Rusinek became an International Judge of chess composition in 1983, and a Grandmaster of chess composition in 1992. He won over 30 first prizes in composing tourneys. The Oxford Companion to Chess opines that "his achievements are likely to rival those of his greatest predecessors". (en)
- Jan Rusinek (2 dicembre 1950) è un matematico e compositore di scacchi polacco. Dal 1971 al 1990, anno in cui cessò le pubblicazioni, fu editore della rivista polacca «Szachy». Nel 1983 venne nominato dalla FIDE Giudice Internazionale per la composizione, e nel 1992 ottenne il titolo di Grande Maestro della composizione. Ha composto circa 150 studi, ottenendo moltissime premiazioni, tra cui ben 34 primi premi. È considerato uno dei compositori di studi più brillanti delle ultime generazioni. Nell'Oxford Companion to Chess, David Hooper e Kenneth Whyld esprimono l'opinione che i suoi lavori possano forse rivaleggiare con quelli dei suoi grandi predecessori. Negli anni novanta Rusinek è stato il delegato della Polonia ai congressi annuali della PCCC. Di professione è insegnante di matematica all'Università di Varsavia. (it)
