- مؤتمر المستشرقين الدولي عُقدت أول مرة في باريس عام 1873 م، وتوالى عقد هذه المؤتمرات في أنحاء العالم وبخاصة في القارة الأوروبية، ولكن عقد بعضهـا في آسيا وأفريقيا. ومن الدول العربية والإسلامية التي عقد فيها المؤتمر استنبول بتركيا والجزائر العاصمة. أعمال المؤتمر تديرها جمعية الدراسات الآسيوية ودراسات شمال أفريقيا. - The International Congress of Orientalists, initiated in Paris in 1873, was an international conference of Orientalists (initially mostly scholars from Europe and the USA). The first thirteen meetings were held in Europe; the fourteenth congress was held in Algiers in 1905 and some of the subsequent conferences were also held outside Europe. Papers were primarily about philology and archaeology. The Proceedings of the Congresses were published. The work of the International Congress of Orientalists is carried on by the International Congress of Asian and North African Studies. (en)
- Les Congrès internationaux des orientalistes sont des manifestations scientifiques internationales organisées de la fin du XIXe siècle à 1973, et réunissant la communauté savante des orientalistes (linguistes, philologues, archéologues, etc.), dans un contexte marqué à la fois par l'internationalisation et par l'impérialisme des savoirs occidentaux sur l'Orient. - Kongres Orientalis Internasional, yang dimulai di Paris pada tahun 1873, adalah konferensi orientalis internasional (pada awalnya hanya dihadiri oleh sebagian besar sarjana-sarjana dari Eropa dan Amerika Serikat). Tiga belas pertemuan pertama diadakan di Eropa, pada Kongres yang keempat belas diadakan di Aljir pada tahun 1905, dan setelah itu beberapa konferensi berikutnya juga diadakan di luar Eropa. Makalah utama dalam Kongres ini adalah tentang filologi dan arkeologi. Jadwal acara Kongres dipublikasikan. Hasil dari Kongres Orientalis Internasional ini juga dilanjutkan dalam Kongres Studi Asia dan Afrika Utara Internasional. (in)
