- International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) je první mezinárodní komparativní studií sledující schopnost žáků používat počítače k vyhledávání, vytváření a sdílení informací za účelem úspěšného fungování jedince ve společnosti. Organizátorem mezinárodního šetření je (IEA), která od svého vzniku v 60. letech 20. století uskutečnila více než 30 rozsáhlých mezinárodních výzkumů a ICILS na ně volně navazuje. Na národní úrovni České republiky je studie organizovaná Českou školní inspekcí prostřednictvím projektu Kompetence III. (cs)
- Die International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) ist eine international vergleichende Schulleistungsuntersuchung, die seit 2013 im fünfjährigen Turnus durchgeführt wird. Die Leitung des internationalen Forschungszentrums der Studie lag in den Studienzyklen ICILS 2013 und ICILS 2018 beim Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) und nunmehr für ICILS 2023 bei der International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA). Die Studie ICILS wird im Digital Education Action Plan als Bildungsmonitoring-Studie gelistet. Die Studie befasst sich mit den höchstrelevanten computer- und informationsbezogenen Kompetenzen von Achtklässlerinnen und Achtklässlern. Darüber hinaus werden in ICILS schulische und außerschulische Rahmenbedingungen hinsichtlich des Erwerbes von Kompetenzen im Umgang mit digitalen Medien erfasst. Mit ICILS 2018 realisierte die IEA zudem erstmals ein Zusatzmodul für den Kompetenzbereich ‚Computational Thinking‘. Deutschland ist an den Zyklen ICILS 2013, ICILS 2018 und ICILS 2023 beteiligt. Das nationale Forschungszentrum für Deutschland liegt aktuell an der Universität Paderborn unter der Leitung von Birgit Eickelmann. Das Bundesland Nordrhein-Westfalen nimmt als Benchmark-Teilnehmer an ICILS 2018 und ICILS 2023 teil. (de)
- The International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS) study assesses information and communications technology (I.C.T.) knowledge of students and teachers worldwide. This test was created by the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) in June 2010. There have been two cycles of the study: ICILS 2013 and ICILS 2018. The first survey was conducted in 2013 and the results were released 3 March 2015. The test assessed computer and literacy skills of 60,000 8th grade students (average 13.5 years old) from 21 education systems worldwide. 18 of the 21 tested education systems had in place policies concerning the use of ICT in education. The second cycle of the study was conducted in 2018, the results of which were released on 5 November 2019. The third cycle of the study, ICILS 2023 was officially launched at the 2018 IEA General Assembly Meeting. (en)

ICILS — International Computer and Information Literacy Study) — исследование, организованное Международной ассоциацией по оценке учебных достижений IEA. Данное исследование позволяет сравнить уровень компьютерной и информационной грамотности учащихся 8-х классов в различных странах мира, а также выявить различия в национальных системах образования.Исследование предполагается проводить периодически.
