- معهد التقنيات المتقدمة في العلوم الإنسانية (IATH) عبارة عن وحدة بحثية في جامعة فيرجينيا، بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وهو يهدف إلى استكشاف وتطوير تقنية المعلومات كأداة لأبحاث العلوم الإنسانية العلمية. ولتحقيق ذلك الغرض، يوفر معهد التقنيات المتقدمة في العلوم الإنسانية للزملاء الاستشارات والدعم الفني وتطوير التطبيقات ومنشآت النشر المربوطة بالشبكات. كما أنه يقوم كذلك بتنمية الشراكات والمشاركة في مبادرات حساب العلوم الإنسانية مع المكتبات والناشرين وشركات تقنية المعلومات ومنظمات العلماء وغيرها من المجموعات التي تتعامل مع أجهزة الكمبيوتر والإرث الثقافي في ذات الوقت. وتعد مشروعات الأبحاث والمقالات والوثائق المتاحة أدناه منتجات للتعاون الفريد بين كلية العلوم الإنسانية وأبحاث علوم الكمبيوتر ومحترفي الكمبيوتر ومساعدي الطلبة ومديري المشروعات ومكتبة الكلية وفريق العمل. وفي العديد من الحالات، يتم دعم هذا العمل من خلال وكالات التمويل الخاصة أو الفيدرالية. وفي كل الحالات، يكون هذا العمل مدعومًا من خلال الإدارات الرئيسية للزملاء والكلية أو المدرسة التي تنتمي إليها تلك الإدارات، ومكتبة جامعة فيرجينيا، ونائب الرئيس للأبحاث والخدمات العامة، ونائب الرئيس ومدير المعلومات، والعميد، ورئيس جامعة فيرجينيا. - The Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities (IATH) is a research unit of the University of Virginia, USA. Its goal is to explore and develop information technology as a tool for scholarly humanities research. To that end, IATH provide Fellows with consulting, technical support, applications development, and networked publishing facilities. It cultivates partnerships and participate in humanities computing initiatives with libraries, publishers, information technology companies, scholarly organizations, and other groups residing at the intersection of computers and cultural heritage. The research projects, essays, and documentation are the products of a collaboration between humanities and computer science research faculty, computer professionals, student assistants and project managers, and library faculty and staff. In many cases, this work is supported by private or federal funding agencies. In all cases, it is supported by the Fellows’ home departments; the College or School to which those departments belong; the University of Virginia Library; the Vice President for Research and Public Service; the Vice President and Chief Information Officer; the Provost; and the President of the University of Virginia. - O Instituto de Tecnologia Avançada em Ciências Humanas (em inglês Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities, IATH) é uma unidade de investigação da Universidade de Virgínia, EUA. O seu objetivo é explorar e desenvolver a tecnologia da informação como ferramenta para académicos de ciências humanas de pesquisa. Para esse fim, a IATH quer proporcionar aos bolsistas de consultoria, suporte técnico, desenvolvimento de aplicativos, em rede e de publicação de instalações. Cultiva parcerias e participar de ciências humanas de iniciativas de computação com bibliotecas, editoras, empresas de tecnologia da informação, entidades académicas, e outros grupos que residem na intersecção de computadores e do património cultural. Os projetos de pesquisa, ensaios, e a documentação são o produto de uma colaboração entre ciências humanas e ciências da computação corpo docente de pesquisadores, profissionais de informática, estudantes, assistentes e gerentes de projeto, e a biblioteca, professores e funcionários. Em muitos casos, este trabalho é suportado pelo particular ou federal, agências de financiamento.
