Inglefield Land is noted for its archaeological sites, which show evidence of occupation by the Dorset Culture and Thule Culture. - La Terre d'Inglefield est une région située le long de la côte nord-ouest du Groenland, qui s'étend du cap Alexander au sud-ouest jusqu'au glacier Humboldt à l'est. Elle constitue la rive sud du bassin Kane, bras de mer entre le Groenland et l'île d'Ellesmere (Canada). La Terre d'Inglefield, qui n'est pas couverte par l'inlandsis, compte plusieurs sites archéologiques, sites qui montrent des traces de l'occupation passée par la culture de Dorset et la culture de Thulé. Située au nord de Qaanaaq et de la base aérienne de Thulé, cette région ne compte pas d'habitants permanents en 2016, avec simplement un camp temporaire à Etah. Dans les années 2010, ce territoire fait l'objet d'études en vue d'éventuelles prospections minières, concernant le cuivre et l'or notamment. La Terre d'Inglefield a été nommée en référence à l'explorateur anglais Edward Augustus Inglefield. (fr)

- La Terra di Inglefield è un territorio della Groenlandia; a nord si affaccia sulla Baia di Kane, a ovest sullo Stretto di Nares e a sud confina con la Penisola di Hayes. Si trova a 77°30'N 67°30'O; appartiene al comune di Avannaata. Il nome deriva da quello del navigatore della Royal Navy Edward Augustus Inglefield. Studi archeologici effettuati tra il 2004 e il 2009 suggeriscono che un tempo la zona era popolata durante tutto l'anno da famiglie di Inuit, e si trattava probabilmente dell'insediamento naturale più settentrionale della Terra. Nonostante la sua posizione fortemente settentrionale, il terreno non è ricoperto di ghiaccio a causa delle scarse precipitazioni. Nel 2018, nel territorio è stato rinvenuto un enorme cratere da impatto di 31 km di diametro. Il cratere, presumibilmente provocato da un meteorite ferroso che avrebbe colpito la terra 12.000 anni fa, pur presentando una struttura circolare tipica, è stato rilevato grazie al confronto tra dati satellitari e radar.
