A short version of the film was screened at the Whistler Film Festival in 2015, and was expanded into a feature film in 2016 after Hopkins was accepted into the festival's Screenwriters Lab. It was shot in the Merritt area in 2017; however, Hopkins' post-production funding fell through, and the film was left in limbo until he was able to secure new funding from the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network. The film premiered at Whistler in 2020, where Hopkins won the award for Best British Columbia Director and received an honorable mention for the Borsos Competition award for Best Screenplay. (en)
