- Hokejový turnaj v rámci Asijských zimních her 2017 se konal od 18. do 25. února 2017 na stadionech (top divize a ženy), (1. divize) a (2. divize) v Sapporu v Japonsku. Do turnaje mužů se přihlásilo 20 týmů, ale po odhlášení Bahrajnu a dikvalifikaci Íránu jich bylo klasifikováno osmnáct. Ty byly rozděleny do tří výkonnostních skupin, aby se omezil počet jednoznačných zápasů. Top divize měla čtyři účastníky, první divize šest účastníků a druhá divize deset přihlášených a osm klasifiovaných. Vítězství si připsali domácí hráči Kazachstánu před hráči Jižní Koreje, Japonska a Číny. V ženách se účastnilo šest týmů, hrály v jedné skupině každý s každým a rozdělily si medaile v pořadí Japonsko, Čína a . (cs)
- Die Eishockeywettbewerbe der VIII. Winter-Asienspiele fanden vom 18. Februar – und damit einen Tag vor der eigentlichen Eröffnungsfeier – bis 26. Februar 2017 in drei Eisstadien der japanischen Stadt Sapporo statt. Neben der Gastgebernation Japan nahmen bei den Herren 17 weitere Länder am Wettbewerb teil. Das Herrenturnier wies erneut eine Rekordbeteiligung mit 18 Mannschaften auf. Zunächst hatten 20 Mannschaften für das Turnier gemeldet, darunter mit den Philippinen, Turkmenistan, Indonesien und Iran vier Länder, die erstmals mit ihren Nationalmannschaften international auftraten. Allerdings zog Bahrain seine Mannschaft kurz vor dem Turnierstart zurück. Die Mannschaft des Irans reiste zwar an, allerdings erhielt mehr als die Hälfte der Mannschaft keine gültige Spielerlaubnis, sodass das Team außer Konkurrenz antrat. Aufgrund der großen Leistungsunterschiede waren die Nationen in drei unabhängige Divisionen eingeteilt. Nur die vier an der Top-Division beteiligten Mannschaften konnten dabei Medaillen gewinnen. Am Eishockeyturnier der Frauen nahmen erstmals sechs Mannschaften teil. Neu dabei waren die Mannschaften Hongkongs und Thailands. (de)
- Ice hockey at the 2017 Asian Winter Games was held in Sapporo, Japan between 18–26 February at three venues (Tsukisamu Gymnasium, Mikaho Gymnasium and the Hoshioki Skating Rink). A total of 18 men's teams competed in three divisions (four in Top Division, six in Division I and eight in Division II), along with six women's teams. Originally 20 men's teams were scheduled to compete, however Bahrain withdrew. Iran was also scheduled to compete, however after arriving, more than half the team was deemed ineligible to represent the country due to eligibility issues. Thus the team was disqualified. However the country still played its matches as friendlies, but they did not count towards the standings. (en)
- Les tournois de hockey sur glace aux Jeux asiatiques d'hiver de Sapporo ont lieu du 18 au 26 février 2017. Ils débutent un jour avant la cérémonie d'ouverture prévue le 19 février. Les Jeux asiatiques d'hiver sont organisés par le Conseil olympique d'Asie. Les équipes sont majoritairement, mais pas nécessairement, des sélections de fédérations nationales membres de la Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace. À l'occasion de ces Jeux, les équipes masculines d', des Philippines et du Turkménistan font leurs débuts au niveau international. En raison de la suspension du comité national olympique koweïtien par le comité international olympique, l'équipe du Koweït joue sous le drapeau olympique en tant qu'athlètes olympiques indépendants.
