- Hokejový turnaj v rámci Asijských zimních her 2003 se konal od 30. ledna do 7. února 2003 na stadionech v Hačinohe (muži) a v Misawě v prefektuře Aomori v Japonsku. Turnaje mužů se zúčastnilo šest týmů, které byly rozděleny do dvou skupin po třech, kde se hrálo každý s každým. První dva týmy z obou skupiny postoupily do play-off, které začínalo semifinále. Třetí týmy z obou skupin sehrály o zápas o páté místo. Vítězství si připsali domácí hráči Japonska před hráči Kazachstánu, Číny a Jižní Koreje. V ženách se účastnilo pět týmů, hrály v jedné skupině každý s každým a rozdělily si medaile v pořadí , Japonsko a Čína. (cs)
- Die Eishockeywettbewerbe der V. Winter-Asienspiele fanden vom 30. Januar bis 7. Februar 2003 in der japanischen Präfektur Aomori in den Städten Hachinohe und Misawa statt. Neben der Gastgebernation Japan nahmen bei den Herren fünf weitere Länder – Südkorea, die Volksrepublik China, Kasachstan, die Mongolei und Thailand – am Wettbewerb teil. Die Goldmedaille sicherte sich erstmals Japan, das ohne Turnierniederlage blieb. Dahinter gewannen Kasachstan und China die weiteren Medaillen. Am Eishockeyturnier der Frauen nahmen fünf Mannschaften teil, wodurch ein neuer Rekord aufgestellt wurde. Die Teilnehmer waren die Gastgebernation, Südkorea, Nordkorea, Kasachstan und die Volksrepublik China. Den Titel sicherte sich erstmals Kasachstan, das in allen Spielen unbesiegt blieb. Japan won the men's event by defeating all of the other teams, Kazakhstan also won all its games until they lost the final game to Japan. China took third position after beating South Korea. Thailand got fifth place and Mongolia got sixth place after losing all its games. In women's ice hockey, Kazakhstan won all its games and the gold medal, in a league system with five teams playing. Japan won the silver medal, and China the bronze. North Korea took fourth place and the South Korea was in fifth place. (en)
