- The IVA 65, (full name Internationale Verkehrsausstellung 65) was a world's transportation exhibition held in Munich in 1965. It was the 16th specialized exhibition recognized by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). The IVA 65 was the international follow up from the Deutsche Verkehrsausstellung (German transportation fairs) held between 1924 and 1953 in Germany. The focus always had been the German rail traffic and Germany presented the prototypes of the Frankfurt underground rolling stock and the high speed locomotive class E03. The E03 hauled the trains from the Augsburg - Munich service with a scheduled 200 km/h during the exhibition.Besides the railtraffic, navigation, aerospace and roadtraffic got their share in the Bavariapark. The IVA was repeated twice until German reunification. After 1996 the InnoTrans has been held every two years, because of its commercial character these exhibitions have not been recognized by the BIE. (en)

- L’Exposition Internationale du Transport 65 dite IVA 65 est une Exposition dite » Spécialisée » reconnue par le Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) qui s’est tenue du 25 juin au 3 octobre 1965 dans le Parc national de la forêt Bavaroise, à Munich . Il s’agit de la 16ème Exposition spécialisée reconnue par le Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). Le choix d’organiser une Exposition sur ce thème à Munich a été fait le 11 mai 1962 par les Etats membres du Bureau International des Expositions. L’Exposition a été reconnue le 13 novembre 1962 par l’Assemblée Générale du BIE. Différentes éditions d’expositions sur les transports, Deutsche Verkehrsausstellung, avaient déjà été organisées entre 1924 et 1953 au niveau national allemand mais IVA 65 fut la première Exposition Internationale spécialisée en ce domaine. L’axe central de l’Exposition portait sur le transport ferroviaire. L’Exposition fut l’occasion de présenter des prototypes du Métro léger de Francfort et la locomotive DB série 103. Les séries E03 démontrèrent pendant l’Exposition que l’on pouvait relier Augsbourg et Munich à une vitesse pouvant atteindre 200km/h. Outre le transport ferroviaire, la navigation, l’aéronautique et le transport routier étaient également présents sur le site. L’édition 1965 fut suivie de deux autres expositions ultérieures avant la réunification. (fr)

- De Internationale Verkehrsausstellung 65 was de internationale verkeerstentoonstelling die in 1965 in de Duitse stad München werd gehouden. Het was de 16e gespecialiseerde tentoonstelling die door het Bureau International des Expositions werd erkend. De Internationale Verkehrsausstellung (IVA) is de internationale voortzetting van de Deutsche Verkehrsausstellung die tussen 1924 en 1953 in Duitsland zijn gehouden. Het zwaartepunt lag altijd bij het railvervoer en Duitsland presenteerde dit keer het prototype van de Metro van Frankfurt am Main en hun hogesnelheidslocomotief E 03. De prototypes van de E 03 werden in 1965 tussen München en Augsburg ingezet met 200 km/u volgens dienstregeling. Naast diverse vormen van railvervoer was er ook aandacht voor luchtvaart, ruimtevaart, binnenvaart, zeescheepvaart en wegverkeer. De IVA is nog twee keer herhaald maar na de Duitse hereniging is vanaf 1996 iedere twee jaar de InnoTrans georganiseerd. Deze latere tentoonstellingen hebben allemaal een meer het karakter van een handelsbeurs en zijn dan ook niet door het BIE erkend. (nl)
