- IPredator war ein VPN-Anonymisierungsdienst, der erstmals 2009 von The Pirate Bay angeboten wurde, um sich zum Schutz der Privatsphäre inkognito im Internet bewegen zu können. Die Bereitstellung des Angebots erfolgte als Reaktion auf die angekündigte Umsetzung der Richtlinie 2004/48/EG (Schutz der Rechte an geistigem Eigentum) (IPRED) in Schweden zum 1. April 2009, die den Abruf persönlicher Informationen durch Rechteinhaber bei Verdacht auf Verstöße gegen das Urheberrecht erlaubt. Der Name des Dienstes IPREDator war als Anspielung auf diese Richtlinie gedacht. Bekannt wurde IPredator durch die Verbindung zu The Pirate Bay und die Sperrungen durch die Online-Bezahldienste , PayPal und Paysafecard im Jahr 2013. Im Oktober 2020 fusionierte IPredator mit Njalla, einem Internetdienstanbieter für Domainregistrierung, der ebenso von Peter Sunde gegründet wurde. (de)
