- iMac és una sèrie d'ordinadors d'escriptori Apple Macintosh oferts per Apple Inc. Les actuals característiques de l'Apple iMac un processador Intel Core 2 Duo, gràfics integrats NVIDIA o NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 amb opcions d'actualització a la GT 130 o (únicament al model de 24"), i la selecció d'una pantalla LCD de 20" o 24", ambdós amb abrillantador. Metres els anteriors models de l'iMac tenien un encapsulament policromat com el iMac G5, l'actual generació de iMac té una forma d'encapsulament similar al d'Apple i que recorden l'estil de l'iPhone. La part de davant està feta d'una sola peça d'alumini amb una placa de vidre que cobreix el monitor, mentre que la part de darrere està feta amb un plàstic de color negre. (ca)

- The Intel-based iMac is a discontinued series of Macintosh all-in-one desktop computers designed, manufactured and sold by Apple Inc. from 2006 to 2022. While sold, it was one of three desktop computers in the Macintosh lineup, serving as an all-in-one alternative to the Mac Mini, and sat below the performance range Mac Pro. It was sold alongside the Xeon-based iMac Pro from 2017 to 2021. Pre-2009 iMac models featured either a white polycarbonate enclosure or an aluminum enclosure. The October 2009 iMac model featured a unibody aluminum enclosure, a version of which could had been seen on the latest models before the launch of the Apple silicon colourful iMacs. The iMacs released in October 2012 also featured a much thinner display, with the edge measuring just 5 mm. The Intel-based iMac was succeeded by the iMac with Apple silicon beginning in 2021 as part of the Mac transition to Apple silicon. On April 20, 2021, Apple discontinued the 21.5-inch Intel iMac with 4K Retina Display following the release of a 24-inch model based on the Apple M1 processor, and discontinued the remaining non-Retina models in October 2021. The 27-inch model was discontinued on March 8, 2022, following the announcement of the Mac Studio and 27-inch Apple Studio Display. (en)

Les modèles sortis en octobre 2009 utilisent des processeurs Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i5 ou Core i7. Issue de la transition d’Apple du PowerPC vers la plateforme Intel, ces iMac remplacent les modèles précédents qui utilisaient des processeurs PowerPC. Les iMac G5 utilisant un boîtier en polycarbonate blanc ont légué leur design aux modèles qui ont suivi, jusqu’à l’arrivée d’un design aluminium en août 2007. (fr)

- iMac (Intel-based) – seria iMaców wyprodukowaną przez Apple, które opierają się na technologii procesorów firmy Intel takich jak Intel Core 2 Duo. Najnowsze iMaki z tej serii mają m.in. 21,5 lub 27-calowe monitory, od 4 do 16 GB RAM-u, procesory Intel Core i5 czy Intel Core i7, oraz karty graficzne 6750M, 6770M i 6970M. O ile poprzednie modele tej serii iMaca miały białą obudowę wykonaną z poliwęglanu (tak samo jak iMac G5), o tyle najnowsza generacja ma wewnętrzną obudowę stylizowaną na . Przednia obudowa jest wykonana z pojedynczego arkusza aluminium z płytą szkła pokrywającą monitor. Na tylnej części obudowy (również wykonaniej z aluminium) znajdują się wszystkie porty. Warto wspomnieć, że za jedynym elementem nie wykonanym z aluminium znajdują się anteny Airport oraz Bluetooth. (pl)
