- حسين ياسين (مواليد 1943) كاتب فلسطيني من مواليد قرية عرابة البطوف شمال الجليل. درس الاقتصاد وتدقيق الحسابات في جامعة لنينغراد وجامعة حيفا. حصل على شهادة في التأمين من كلية تل أبيب عام 1993. كان يعمل كمحاسب، تقاعد في عام 2010، ويعيش الآن في القدس. كتب ثلاث روايات: مصابيح الدجى (2006)، ضحى (2012) وعلي: قصة رجل مستقيم (2017) ، وآخرهما رشح لجائزة البوكر العربية. - Hussein Yassin (born 1943) is a Palestinian writer. He was born in the village of Arrabat al-Battuf in northern Galilee. He studied economics and accounting in Leningrad and Haifa. An accountant by profession, he retired in 2010 and now lives in Jerusalem. He has written three novels: Lanterns of Gloom (2006); Duha (2012) and Ali, the Story of an Honourable Man (2017), the last of which was nominated for the Arabic Booker Prize. (en)
