- Horizon Field ist eine Kunstinstallation des britischen Künstlers Antony Gormley in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kunsthaus Bregenz. Die Installation besteht aus 100 mannshohen Eisenmännern, die auf einer horizontalen Ebene jeweils in 2039 m ü. A. Höhe im Vorarlberger Lechquellengebirge stehen. Es ist das erste solche Vorhaben in den Alpen und die größte künstlerische landschaftliche Intervention in Österreich bis heute. Die Arbeit umfasst ein Gebiet von 150 Quadratkilometern und zwar über die Gemeinden Mellau, Schoppernau, Schröcken, Warth, Mittelberg, Lech, Klösterle und Dalaas. Die Installation wurde für den Zeitabschnitt August 2010 bis April 2012 vereinbart und ihre Kosten sollten sich auf 600.000 € belaufen. (de)
