- Στην ελληνική μυθολογία με το όνομα Ιππονόμη αναφέρεται μια θυγατέρα του Μενοικέως και της Λυσιδίκης, της αδελφής της Αστυδαμείας. Σύμφωνα με κάποιες παραδόσεις, η Ιππονόμη ήταν η σύζυγος του Αλκαίου, γιου του Περσέως και της Ανδρομέδας. Σύμφωνα όμως με άλλες, η σύζυγος του Αλκαίου ήταν η Αστυδάμεια ή η Λαονόμη από τη Φενεό. Στις παραδόσεις που η Ιππονόμη ήταν σύζυγος του Αλκαίου, ήταν και αδελφή του Κρέοντα και της Ιοκάστης, και επομένως θεία του Οιδίποδα, εντάσσεται δηλαδή στον λεγόμενο «Θηβαϊκό κύκλο». (el)
