- The Hermann Wesselink College is a secondary school in Amstelveen, The Netherlands . The school is named after Hermann Wesselink, a school principal who died at an early age, soon after retirement. The motto of the school is; "A school where everybody is equal but nobody is the same". In 2022 the school has 1866 students. The school offers vmbo, havo, vwo (atheneum and gymnasium), and in recent years bilingual education (IB Diploma in English at A2 level). - Het Hermann Wesselink College is een Nederlandse protestants-christelijke school voor voortgezet onderwijs aan de Startbaan in Amstelveen. De school, tot dan toe het Christelijk Lyceum Amstelveen, is op initiatief van de leerlingen vernoemd naar , die van 1963 tot zijn plotseling overlijden in 1971 de eerste rector van de school was. Daarna volgde Roel Huizenga als tweede rector van 1971 tot 1989 en Ton Liefaard van 1989 tot 2015. Vanaf 2015 is dat drs. Bert Kozijn.De Amstelveense school werd opgericht in 1963 op de Kastanjelaan en verhuisde in 1978 naar de Startbaan 3. Eveneens in 1978 vond een fusie plaats met de Keulemans mavo; vanaf die tijd is het HWC een school voor mavo, havo en vwo. De school heeft als motto; "Een school waar iedereen gelijk is maar niemand hetzelfde". Het College heeft anno 2022 ongeveer 1800 leerlingen. Het heeft de richtingen Tweetalig onderwijs, Gymnasium, vwo (Atheneum), havo en vmbo-T. De inschrijving loopt volgens de afspraken uit de Kernprocedure Amstelland. (nl)
