- Herbert Henri Jasper, OC, GOQ, FRSC (* 27. Juli 1906 in La Grande, Oregon; † 11. Juni 1999) war ein kanadischer Psychologe, Neurowissenschaftler und Epileptologe. Er lieferte Pionierarbeiten auf dem Gebiet der Elektroenzephalographie. Von 1932 bis 1938 baute er an der Brown University in Providence (Rhode Island) ein EEG-Laboratorium auf. 1935 veröffentlichte er in Science die erste Arbeit in den USA über das menschliche EEG. Bis heute ist seine Entwicklung des 10-20-Systems von Bedeutung. Jasper war ein Mitarbeiter von Wilder Penfield. Er unterrichtete an der McGill University (von 1938 bis 1965) und an der Universität Montreal (von 1965 bis 1975). Seit 1986 vergibt die US-amerikanische Gesellschaft für Klinische Neurophysiologie (American Clinical Neurophysiology Society; ACNS) i. d. R. jährlich zu Ehren zu seinen Ehren einen nach ihm benannten Preis. (de)
- Herbert Henri Jasper OC GOQ FRSC (July 27, 1906 – March 11, 1999) was a Canadian psychologist, physiologist, neurologist, and epileptologist. Born in La Grande, Oregon, he attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon and received his PhD in psychology from the University of Iowa in 1931 and earned a Doctor of Science degree from the University of Paris for research in neurobiology. From 1946 to 1964 he was Professor of Experimental Neurology at the Montreal Neurological Institute, McGill University and then from 1965 to 1976 he was Professor of Neurophysiology, Université de Montréal. He did his most important research with Wilder Penfield at McGill University. He was a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He was also a member of the Canadian Neurological Society and the Royal Society of Medicine. He wrote more than 350 scientific publications. (en)

Ha ricoperto un ruolo fondamentale anche nei campi della psicologia, dell'anatomia e della farmaceutica collegata alle neuroscienze. Herbert Henri Jasper nacque a La Grande, nello Stato americano dell'Oregon, dove frequentò il Reed College di Portland, e conseguì il dottorato (PhD) in psicologia all'University of Iowa nel 1931, guadagnando anche un grado dottorale in scienze dall'Università di Parigi per le ricerche svolte nell'ambito della neurobiologia.
