- Henry Neumann Zayas is an attorney, and a former state senator for the District of San Juan (PNP-R) Former Secretary of Sports and Recreation of Puerto Rico. After finishing high school entered Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., where he earned a Bachelor in business administration with honors in 1972. Oncecompleted University, Served in the United States Army. Returned to the island for study at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, where he obtained the degree of Juris Doctor for the 1975. A former basketball player, he served for many years as president of Puerto Rico's National Superior Basketball league. In March 2008, he aspired to become one of the New Progressive Party of Puerto Rico's six at-large Senate candidates at the PNP primaries, but ended up in seventh place. In June 2008, he was selected as a member of the Organizing Committee. The Games were held in Mayagüez during the summer of 2010. To facilitate the government's collaboration with the Games, Governor Luis Fortuño appointed him to chair a 25-member coordinating committee, composed of Puerto Rico government agency heads. On October 26, 2015, Neumann announced his Senate candidacy on behalf of the New Progressive Party of Puerto Rico. On June 21, 2022, Neumann announced his resignation to the Senate of Puerto Rico, effective June 30, 2022. (en)
- Henry Neumann Zayas (12 de diciembre de 1950) es un deportista, abogado y político cubano-puertorriqueño. Actualmente se desempeña como senador del Distrito de San Juan-I en el Senado de Puerto Rico. Previamente sirvió como Secretario de Recreación y Deportes de Puerto Rico y del 2000 al 2007 sirvió como Presidente del Baloncesto Superior Nacional, la liga superior de baloncesto de Puerto Rico. Luego de finalizar la escuela superior entró a Georgetown University en Washington, D.C., donde estudió un Bachillerato en administración de empresas y se graduó con honores en 1972. Una vez completó su educación universitaria, sirvió en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos. Regresó a la isla para estudiar en la Escuela de Derecho de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, donde obtuvo el grado de Juris Doctor en 1975. En junio de 2008, fue elegido para el comité organizador de los XXI Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe. Los juegos fueron llevados a cabo en la ciudad de Mayagüez en el verano del 2010. Para facilitar la colaboración del gobierno con la organización de los juegos, el gobernador Luis Fortuño lo invitó a presidir un comité organizador de 25 miembros compuesto por cabezas de las diferentes agencias del gobierno.
