- Hector Dennis „Hec“ Hogan (* 11. Juli 1931 in Rockhampton; † 2. September 1960 in Brisbane) war ein australischer Leichtathlet, der in den 1950er Jahren im Sprint erfolgreich war. Er gewann zehn australische Meisterschaften: Bei internationalen Wettkämpfen konnte er vier Bronzemedaillen gewinnen:
* Als Mitglied der australischen 4 × 110-yds-Staffel bei den British Empire and Commonwealth Games 1954 in Vancouver (41,7 s) und 1958 in Cardiff (41,5 s)
* über 100 yds bei den British Empire and Commonwealth Games 1954 in Vancouver (9,7 s) bzw. über 100 m bei den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1956 in Melbourne (10,6 s/ 10,77 s el.) hinter den beiden US-Amerikanern Bobby Morrow und Thane Baker (beide 10,5 s). Über 200 m schied er mit 21,7 s schon im Viertelfinale aus. Hector Hogan starb mit 29 Jahren an Leukämie. (de)
- Hector "Hec" Denis Hogan (15 July 1931, Rockhampton – 2 September 1960, Brisbane) was an Australian athlete who competed mainly in the 100 yards and 100 metres sprint, where he was seven-times Australian 100 yards champion. He also competed in the 220 yards/200 metres, which he won twice in the Australian Championships, and the long jump which he won in 1954. He also competed in the triple jump. In March 1954, he equalled the world record for the 100 yards (9.3 seconds) and 100 metres (10.2 seconds) on a grass track in Sydney. He won bronze medals in the 100 yards and 4 × 100 yards relay at the 1954 Commonwealth Games in Vancouver. His time for the 100 yards was 9.7 seconds. In the 1958 Commonwealth Games at Cardiff he won a bronze for the 4 × 100 yards relay. He competed for Australia in the 1956 Summer Olympics held in Melbourne, where he won the bronze medal in the 100 metres. Hogan died on 2 September 1960 of leukaemia, leaving his wife, Maureen, and a son. He was buried in Nudgee Cemetery. (en)

Był rekordzistą Australii w skoku w dal (7,65 m osiągnięte 14 listopada 1953 w Brisbane) i dwukrotnie w sztafecie 4 × 110 metrów (do czasu 40,6 s uzyskanego 30 listopada 1956 w Melbourne), a także wyrównał rekord Australii w biegu na 100 metrów (10,4 s 17 grudnia 1955 w Melbourne). Hogan był mistrzem Australii w biegu na 100 jardów w latach 1951–1957, w biegu na 220 jardów w 1954 i 1955 oraz w skoku w dal w 1953, a także brązowym medalistą na 100 jardów w 1950 i w skoku w dal w 1954.
