- Half Tree Hollow ist ein Distrikt, eine Ansiedlung und ein Vorort von Jamestown auf St. Helena. Mit 1034 Einwohnern (Stand 2021) auf 1,55 Quadratkilometern ist es zugleich der bevölkerungsreichste und der mit Abstand am dichtesten besiedelte Distrikt der Insel. - Half Tree Hollow is the smallest by area of the eight districts of the island of Saint Helena, part of the British Overseas Territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic Ocean. It is a suburb of Jamestown and is situated at the top of Ladder Hill which forms the southern side of the James Valley, at the base of which sits Jamestown. The hill was fortified in the late 1700s and Ladder Hill Fort was subsequently built. The village grew during the 1960s because the James Valley lacked any room for expansion. (en)

El pueblo está construido en la cima de Jacob's Ladder, una escalera que conecta las laderas con Jamestown. El pueblo fue construido debido a la falta de un espacio adecuado en Jamestown y a su geología. La localidad tiene una población mayor que la de Jamestown. En el año 2008 tenía una población de 901 habitantes, en comparación con los 1140 que tenía en 1998. Se trata de un distrito de la isla, que con unos 1,6 km² es el más pequeño, el más poblado y el de mayor densidad de población. El distrito incluye Ladder Hill.
