- Das Hackerspace Global Grid ist ein Projekt mit dem Ziel, ein verteiltes Sensor- und Kommunikationsnetz aufzubauen. Es wurde im Sommer 2011 von Armin Bauer (shackspace), Andreas Hornig (Constellation Platform) und Gregor Jehle (shackspace) initiiert, als auf dem Chaos Communication Camp 2011 dazu aufgerufen wurde, ein Weltraumprogramm für Hacker ins Leben zu rufen. Hackerspace Global Grid soll die hierfür notwendige Kommunikationsinfrastruktur bereitstellen. Das langfristige Ziel ist es, mit dem verteilten Sensor- und Antennennetzwerk die Position erdnaher Satelliten bestimmen und mit ihnen kommunizieren zu können. Darüber hinaus ist die Plattform offen gestaltet, um weitere Sensoren, z. B. für die Erkennung von Erdbeben, die Messung von Hintergrundstrahlung oder Wetterdaten zu integrieren. Derzeit ist das System im Stande, Flugzeugpositionen zu verfolgen, die mittels ADS-B von den Flugzeugen übertragen werden. (de)
- The Hackerspace Global Grid is aiming at building and establishing a distributed sensor and communication network. It was started in 2011 by Armin Bauer (shackspace), Andreas Horning, and Gregor Jehle (shackspace) after a call for participation in the Hackers in Space programme at the Chaos Communication Camp, 2011 to create a global community-driven communication network. The long-term technical goal is to establish a system for tracking and communicating with amateur satellites in near earth orbit, but the system is kept open for a variety of sensors, i.e. earthquake detection, radiation or weather data. Currently, the project is in a state where it is possible to receive data from commercial aeroplanes via ADS-B. A stated but misinterpreted aim of the project is to produce a communication system, 'free from Internet censorship'. (en)
- Le projet Hackerspace Global Grid (« Grille Globale de l'Espace hacker » (traduction non officielle)) vise à établir un réseau de communication et de capteurs. Il a été lancé en 2011 par Armin Bauer, Andreas Horning et Jehle après un appel à participation sur le programme Hacker in Space au Chaos Communication Camp 2011 dans le but de créer un réseau géré par la communauté. Techniquement le but est de créer un système capable de traquer et de communiquer avec des satellites radios amateurs en orbite terrestre basse, mais le système est ouvert pour d'autres capteurs, incluant la détection sismique, radioactive ou météorologique. Actuellement, le projet est capable de recevoir des données d'avions commerciaux via ADS-B. Un objectif avoué mais mal interprété du projet vise à produire un système de communication « libre de la censure sur Internet ». (fr)
