- Les passarel·les temàtiques (també anomenades directoris analítics, agències avaluadores o directoris temàtics) són sistemes d'informació que seleccionen, descriuen i classifiquen recursos web aplicant criteris propis de la biblioteconomia i documentació, com les classificacions disciplinàries o els llenguatges controlats. Són un tipus de directori web. L'objectiu d'aquests directoris és el d'estalviar temps a l'usuari investigador perquè no el perda avaluant la qualitat dels recursos web. Per això s'utilitzen sobretot en serveis de referència virtual. (ca)

- Brama dziedzinowa (także tematyczny system hipertekstowy lub brama tematyczna – ang. subject gateway) – rodzaj katalogów stron WWW, które stosują sformalizowane kryteria selekcji i oceny jakości stron internetowych włączanych do kolekcji oraz opracowane lub adaptowane zasady katalogowania. Głównym celem pracy nad tego rodzaju serwisami informacyjnymi było przygotowanie wiarygodnych źródeł informacji o zasobach sieciowych, które mogły być wykorzystane na potrzeby instytucji z sektora szkolnictwa, szczególnie wyższego. Systemy te powstawały więc najczęściej przy bibliotekach akademickich lub instytucjach związanych ze szkolnictwem wyższym. (pl)
