- Das Dorf Großdrebnitz (obersorbisch Drjewnica) ist ein Ortsteil der Stadt Bischofswerda im Landkreis Bautzen in Sachsen. Sein aus dem Sorbischen stammender Name bezieht sich auf eine Siedlung am oder im Walde, das Suffix ica auf einen Wald- oder Holzbach, der dem Ort den Namen gegeben hat und heute als Hundeflüsschen bekannt ist. Der Ort hat etwa 1000 Einwohner und erstreckt sich über eine Länge von etwa vier Kilometern. Industriebetriebe gibt es keine, dafür zahlreiche Gewerke, die maßgeblich den ländlichen Raum prägen, wie z. B. eine Teichwirtschaft und eine Agrargesellschaft, sowie verschiedenes Kleinhandwerk. Pendant la Campagne d'Allemagne, en 1813, le village est le lieu d'un combat où les troupes russes commandées par les généraux français émigrés Langeron et Saint-Priest ont battu les troupes napoléoniennes entre le 13 et le 17 septembre. Le général français François Basile Azemar y a été tué.
