- Esquerra Grega (grec Ελληνική Αριστερά, Elliniki Aristera, EAR) fou un partit polític grec d'esquerra, sorgit el gener de 1987 com a escissió del Partit Comunista de Grècia (Interior) dels qui no volgueren integrar-se en . El seu líder fou Leonidas Kyrkos i el seu secretari general, de 1989 a 1992, va ser Fotis Kouvelis. El 8 de desembre de 1988 Mimis Androulakis i Giannis Dragasakis del Partit Comunista de Grècia i Grigoris Giannaros i Dimitrios Papadimoulis d'Esquerra Grega van signar un informe sobre la situació de l'esquerra anomenat Rizospastis, que el febrer de 1989 es concretà en la coalició Sinaspismós. Es presentà dins la coalició a les eleccions legislatives gregues de juny de 1989 i va obtenir representació. - Die Elliniki Aristera (griechisch Ελληνική Αριστερά, Ellinikí Aristerá, Abkürzung Ε.ΑΡ. Griechische Linke) war eine griechische politische Partei in den 1980er und 1990er Jahren. Hervorgegangen als Nachfolgerin der Kommunistischen Partei Griechenlands (Inland), vertrat sie einen eurokommunistischen Kurs. Nachdem die Griechische Linke mit der Kommunistischen Partei Griechenlands (KKE) im Wahlbündnis Synaspismos gemeinsam antrat, waren sie im Jahr 1989 kurz an einer Regierung mit der konservativen Nea Dimokratia beteiligt, um den bis dahin regierenden Ministerpräsidenten Andreas Papandreou die Immunität entziehen und ihn vor Gericht stellen zu können. 1991 verließ die KKE das Bündnis, woraufhin Synaspismos als Partei gegründet wurde, in der die Griechische Linke aufging. - Greek Left (Greek: Ελληνική Αριστερά, Elliniki Aristera, abbreviated EAR) was a Greek political party. It emerged, in January 1987, from the split in the Communist Party of Greece (Interior) into the Communist Party of Greece (Interior)-Renewing Left and the Greek Left. Its ideology was Eurocommunism. In December 1988 Greek Left signed a common report with the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) about the current political situation. This was the first step in the creation of Synaspismos, a coalition of parties, in February 1989. The common report was written by Mimis Androulakis and Giannis Dragasakis of the KKE and Grigoris Giannaros and Dimitrios Papadimoulis of the Greek Left. It was published in Rizospastis on 8 December 1988. Greek Left was the main power in Synaspismos, after the KKE. Its leader was Leonidas Kyrkos and its general secretary, from 1989 to 1992, was Fotis Kouvelis. The Greek Left participated with Synaspismos in three parliamentary elections, once in the local elections and once in the elections for the European Parliament in 1989. In 1992 it merged into Synaspismos when the latter transformed from a coalition to a single party. (en)
