  • Sir Graeme Davies, FREng FRSNZ, is a New Zealand engineer and academician. He is a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Liverpool and the University of Glasgow and current Vice-Chancellor of the University of London, in the United Kingdom. Davies graduated with a bachelor's degree in Aeronautical engineering and a doctoral degree in Materials science from the University of Auckland and received both an MA and doctorate in science from St Catharine's College, Cambridge. While studying in Auckland he won the most prestigious national award in collegiate sports, the New Zealand Universities Blue for football.As a scholar, Professor Davies has taught metallurgy at Auckland, Cambridge and Sheffield and has served as Chief Executive of the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
