- Gòrgides (en llatí Gorgidas, en grec antic Γοργίδας) fou un noble tebà, company d'Epaminondes. Després de la recuperació de Cadmea ocupada per una guarnició espartana (379 aC) i de la mort d'Àrquies i Leontiades de Tebes, Epaminondes i Gòrgides es van unir a Pelòpides i el van introduir a ell i als seus confederats, a l'assemblea tebana, demanant al poble a lluitar pels déus i per la llibertat, segons diu Plutarc. L'any 378 aC Gòrgides i Pelòpides van ser beotarques i van projectar pactar amb a Esfòdries, el governador espartà que Cleombrot I d'Esparta havia deixat a Tèspies, per aconseguir que l'espartà envaís l'Àtica, cosa que hauria portat a l'enfrontament entre Atenes i Esparta. Oddíl, čítající asi 300 mužů, složil kolem roku 378 př. n. l. z homosexuálních párů. Jednotka se vyznamenala v bitvě u Leukter proti Spartě roku 371 př. n. l., v roce 338 př. n. l. byla ale kompletně zničena v bitvě u Chairóneie proti Filipu II. Makedonskému. (cs)

Cada pareja estaba compuesta por un hombre adulto y otro más joven. El de más edad era llamado heniochoi (conductor) e instruía al más joven, llamado paraibatai (compañero). Tras la reconquista de Tebas, ocupada en el 379 a. C. por una guarnición espartana, y de la muerte de y Leontíades, Epaminondas y Górgidas se unieron a Pelópidas y lo introdujeron en la asamblea tebana, donde instó a los tebanos a luchar por la libertad de su ciudad.
