- مجلس الصحة العالمي، هو منظمة لا تسعى للربح، يقع مقرها في الولايات المتحدة، تقوم بالربط بين «مئات المنظمات غير الحكومية (NGOs) المختصة بالصحة حول العالم، بغية تبادل المعرفة، والموارد، وبناء الشراكات، لتصبح من أقوى المدافعين عن قضية الصحة». ويشكل المجلس أكبر تحالف للأعضاء في العالم يكون مكرسا لتطوير السياسات والبرامج التي تحسن الصحة في أنحاء العالم. يخدم المجلس ويمثل ما ينوف عن آلاف المحترفين في مجال الصحة من أكثر من 100 دولة في ست قارات. حيث يعملون على إدراج المخاطر الصحية المنتشرة في العالم في خمس مجالات رئيسية «تكون معرفة كخطر على تحسين الصحة وتطبيق العدالة» وذلك في سبيل «الحد من الأمراض والموت في جميع البلدان»:

* هذا ويرعى المجلس كلا من المؤتمرات الدولية كما يؤمن مجموعة من المختصين من ذوي الاختصاصات المتنوعة من أجل المصالح الإعلامية وصناع السياسة. وقد جاء على الموقع الإلكتروني للمجلس أنه «يعمل على تأمين جميع المعلومات والموارد لمن يكافح من أجل تحسين ورعاية الصحة العالمية في سبيل تحقيق مبتغاه.» (ar)
- The Global Health Council is a United States-based non-profit leading networking organization "supporting and connecting advocates, implementers and stakeholders around global health priorities worldwide". The Council is the world's largest membership alliance dedicated to advancing policies and programs that improve health around the world. The Council serves and represents thousands of public health professionals from over 150 countries. They work "to improve health globally through increased investment, robust policies and the power of the collective voice.": According to their website the Council "convenes stakeholders around key global health priorities and actively engages key decision makers to influence health policy." After shutting its doors in 2012, GHC re-opened with a newly elected board of directors on January 1, 2013. In their new model, the Global Health Council works in three main areas: policy and advocacy, member engagement, and connections and coordination. Reflecting this focus, GHC offers an online platform that includes guest blogs, member spotlights, policy briefs, advocacy updates, and global health job postings. Additionally, the GHC has since participated in significant global health events at the national and international level including the World Health Assembly, Global Health Week on the Hill, and the Consortium of Universities for Global Health Consortium. The Council coordinates and participates in a number of working groups, coalitions, and roundtables in the global health advocacy community, including the GHC Budget Roundtable and Global Health Security Roundtable. The Council maintains a global health Advocacy Hub and coordinates the biennial publication of the Global Health Briefing Book. The most recent publication, titled Global Health Works: Maximizing U.S. Investments for Healthier and Stronger Communities, was released in 2017 for the 115th U.S. Congress. (en)
- La Vigilia Internacional en Memoria de las Víctimas del sida (en inglés: International Candlelight Vigil Memorial), es un programa del bajo el nombre de International Candlelight AIDS Memorial, que promueve la intervención de comunidades y personas de todo el mundo en actividades relacionadas con la lucha contra el sida mediante su participación en una vigilia mundial que se realiza el tercer domingo de mayo y es conducido por los coordinadores voluntarios por todo el mundo. En 2006, sobre 900 coordinadores llevaron a cabo el evento en 110 países, siendo visitados por más de diez de millones de personas. Es una de las campañas más grandes y más antiguas de movilización de los pueblos para el conocimiento de sida en el mundo.La primera Vigilia Internacional en memoria y solidaridad con las personas afectadas por el VIH, se llevó a cabo el 2 de mayo de 1983 en Nueva York y San Francisco. Los organizadores deseaban honrar el recuerdo de aquellas personas que habían fallecido debido a esta "misteriosa" enfermedad y brindar su apoyo a aquellos vivían con sida y a sus familias. Diversas organizaciones se unen cada año en esta campaña para recordar a las víctimas del sida y tratar de concienciar a la sociedad. (es)
