- Die DKE Deutsche Kommission Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik in DIN und VDE ist die in Deutschland zuständige Organisation für die Erarbeitung von Standards, Normen und Sicherheitsbestimmungen in den Themenfeldern Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik. Vorsitzender der Kommission war von 2011 bis 2014 Wolfgang Hofheinz. Zum Jahresbeginn 2015 übernahm Roland Bent den Vorsitz. Die vom Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik (VDE) getragene Organisation ist als Geschäftsbereich des VDE zugleich ein Normenausschuss im Deutschen Institut für Normung. Als deutsches Mitglied in den internationalen und europäischen Organisationen für die Normung der Elektrotechnik vertritt die DKE die deutschen Interessen bei der Erarbeitung und Weiterentwicklung der Internationalen und Europäischen Normen zum Abbau von Handelshemmnissen und zur weltweiten Öffnung der Märkte. - The German Commission for Electrotechnical, Electronic & Information Technologies of DIN and VDE (German: Deutsche Kommission Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik im DIN und VDE), abbreviated DKE, is the German organisation responsible for the development and adoption of standards and safety specifications in the areas of electrical engineering, electronics and information technologies. DKE constitutes a joint organisation of DIN (the organisation for general standards in Germany) and VDE (a technical-scientific association), the juridical responsibility for running the DKE being in the hands of the VDE. The DKE is the German member within European standardisation organisations such as CENELEC and ETSI, and international organisations such as IEC. A standard may be first proposed by individual members of the VDE. Then when it has achieved national status the standard then becomes sanctioned by DKE. If further the standard is adopted at an international level, it can become an IEC standard. (en)
