- Gerard de Namur (died 1155) was a cardinal born in Namur in the modern-day Belgium. In older historiography he is wrongly identified as Gerardo Caccianemici, nephew of Pope Lucius II. He studied at the abbey of Lobbes in Hainaut. Then he became canon of the cathedral chapter in Liège. He was elevated to the cardinalate by Eugenius III in 1152. He subscribed the papal bulls as cardinal-deacon of the Holy Roman Church between 1 March 1152 and 4 October 1152, and then as cardinal-deacon of S. Maria in Via Lata (31 December 1152 until 21 July 1155). He was legate in Germany in 1154 before Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa; his legation was not successful. (en)

Devenu chanoine de la cathédrale de Liège, il fut élevé au cardinalat par le pape cistercien Eugène III, sans doute le 21 février 1152, avec le titre de cardinal-diacre de Sainte-Marie in Via lata (Rome). Envoyé par Anastase IV comme légat pontifical auprès de Frédéric Barberousse en 1154, sa mission devint impossible lorsque, en décembre 1154, Adrien IV fut élu pape, le caractère entier du pape anglais ne permettant aucun compromis. W starszej historiografii jest błędnie identyfikowany jako Gerardo Caccianemici, bratanek papieża Lucjusza II (1144-45). Urodził się w Namur i studiował w opactwie w Hainaut. Następnie został kanonikiem kapituły katedralnej w Leodium. Nominację kardynalską otrzymał od papieża Eugeniusza III z tytułem diakona S. Maria in Via Lata. Uczestniczył w papieskiej elekcji 1153. W 1154 roku był legatem papieża Anastazego IV w Niemczech wobec cesarza Fryderyka I w związku z konfliktem o obsadę arcybiskupstwa w Magdeburgu. W trakcie legacji popadł w niełaskę cesarza i musiał wracać do Rzymu, gdzie dotarł prawdopodobnie na początku 1155 roku. Ostatnia sygnowana przez niego bulla nosi datę 21 lipca 1155. (pl)
