- Les Nuits de Fourvière sont un festival culturel pluridisciplinaire (théâtre, musique, danse, cinéma) se déroulant chaque été (en juin, juillet et août) depuis 1946 au Théâtre antique de Fourvière (de 2 600 à 4 500 places), dans le 5e arrondissement de Lyon, près de la basilique du même nom. La régie des Nuits de Fourvière (transformé en EPIC en 2005) est rattachée au département du Rhône (avec une subvention annuelle de 3,7 millions d'euros) au début des années 1990. Depuis le 1er janvier 2015, elle dépend de la Métropole de Lyon. (fr)
- The Nuits de Fourvière (Nights of Fourvière) is a festival with theater, circus, music, dance, and film presentations. The festival has taken place every summer since 1946 in the Théâtre antique de Fourvière, and in the Odéon de Lyon (since 1952) in the 5th arrondissement near the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière. The festival was first managed by the Charbonnières-les-Bains casino, then by the Rhône department starting in the early 1990s. Since 1 January 2005 it has been managed by Grand Lyon. It is tradition for spectators to throw their seat cushions toward the stage at the end of the performance to show their appreciation. (en)
- De Nuits de Fourvière is een jaarlijks cultureel festival in Lyon, Frankrijk, met theater, muziek, dans en filmtheater en vindt plaats op de heuvel Fourvière, voornamelijk in het Antiek theater van Lugdunum. Dit theater is gebouwd in twee etappes, eerst in 15 v.Chr. en vervolgens een uitbreiding tot 10.000 plaatsen in de 2e eeuw. Tegenwoordig biedt het echter slechts plaats aan tussen de 2600 tot 4500 plaatsen, tussen de maanden juni, juli en augustus. Naast het antieke theater wordt ook het ernaast gelegen Odeion van Lugdunum voor de uitvoeringen gebruikt. Deze bood in antieke tijden plaats aan 3000 bezoekers en tegenwoordig nog aan 900 tot 1200 plaatsen, afhankelijk van de opvoering. (nl)
