- Der Forest Home Cemetery (dt.: Waldheimfriedhof) im heute südlichen Teil von Milwaukee ist der seit 1847 bestehende lokale Friedhof, auf dem sich die Ehrengräber bekannter Persönlichkeiten der Stadt befinden. Insgesamt befinden sich Gräber für mehr als 110.000 Personen auf dem Friedhof. Betrieben wird der Friedhof als öffentliche Non-Profit-Organisation, deren Gewinne in die Erhaltung der Landschaft, seiner Gebäude, Monumente und Denkmäler fließen. Mehr als dreihundert Baumarten wachsen auf dem Gelände. Der Friedhof mit der darin liegenden neugotische Landmark-Kapelle wurden 1973 zu einem Wahrzeichen Milwaukees erklärt und am 3. November 1980 in das National Register of Historic Places aufgenommen. Später wurden auf dem Friedhof zwei Mausoleen errichtet, die sogenannten Halls of History und die Chapel Gardens. Das Newhall House Monument ist ein Grabdenkmal, indem 64 Opfer des Brandes im Newhall House beerdigt sind. Bei dem Feuer waren 1883 71 Personen umgekommen, 43 davon konnten nicht identifiziert werden. (de)
- Forest Home Cemetery is a historic rural cemetery located in the Lincoln Village neighborhood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is the final resting place of many of the city's famed beer barons, politicians and social elite. Both the cemetery and its Landmark Chapel are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and were declared a Milwaukee Landmark in 1973. The cemetery is run by a non-profit organization held in public trust. Profits from each sale are reinvested to insure continual care of the buildings and land. Its Victorian landscape contains over 100 species of trees, along with many ornate statues, crypts and monuments. (en)
