- La Fajrdorsuloj estas grandaj pegoj, tio estas birdoj de la familio de Pegedoj kaj subfamilio Picinae kiuj estas loĝantaj reproduktuloj en tropika suda Azio. Ili prenas sian nomon el la orkoloraj aŭ ruĝecaj dorsoj. Fakte tiu nomigo korespondas al du genroj, nome Dinopium kaj Chrysocolaptes, kiuj en estas tre parence rilataj. La uua estas pli rilata al la enigmecaj pegedoj kaj eble al la Hemicircus kaj al ĵus reklasita . La dua genro ŝajne estas pli proksima parenco de la genro Campephilus, kiu enhavas la faman pegon nome Eburbeka kampefilo (Benz et al., 2006). Ofte la nomigo Fajrdorsuloj estas uzata ĉefe por la birdoj de la unua genro nome Dinopium. Tribo Malarpicini

- The flamebacks or goldenbacks are large woodpeckers which are resident breeders in tropical southern Asia. They derive their English names from their golden or crimson backs. However, the two flameback genera Dinopium and Chrysocolaptes are not particularly close relatives. The former are close to the enigmatic Meiglyptes and possibly Hemicircus woodpeckers, and the recently reclassified rufous woodpecker (Micropternus brachyurus). Chrysocolaptes on the other hand appears to be a rather close relative of Campephilus, the genus of the famous ivory-billed woodpecker (C. principalis). Tribe Malarpicini
