- First Orbit is a 2011 feature-length, experimental documentary film about Vostok 1, the first human space flight around the Earth. By matching the orbit of the International Space Station to that of Vostok 1 as closely as possible, in terms of ground track and time of day, documentary filmmaker Christopher Riley and European Space Agency astronaut Paolo Nespoli were able to film the view that Yuri Gagarin saw on his pioneering 1961 orbital space flight. This new footage was cut together with the original Vostok 1 mission audio recordings sourced from the Russian State Archive of Scientific andTechnical Documentation. The film features the music of composer Philip Sheppard. (en)
- First Orbit (primera órbita) es un largometraje documental sobre el vuelo de Vostok 1 que llevó a Yuri Gagarin a ser el primer ser humano en llegar al espacio exterior, haciendo una órbita alrededor de la Tierra un 12 de abril de 1961. Su estreno fue a través de Youtube, en su 50 aniversario (2011). Haciendo coincidir la órbita de la Estación Espacial Internacional (ISS) a la de Vostok 1 dentro de lo posible, en términos de ruta de tierra y la hora del día, el realizador de documentales y astronauta de la ESA Paolo Nespoli fueron capaces de recrear las imágenes que vio Gagarin en este hito histórico. Además de estas nuevas imágenes, se añadieron grabaciones originales de audio de la misión Vostok 1 procedente del Archivo Estatal de la Federación Rusa. Igualando a órbita da Estação Espacial Internacional ao máximo possível com a da Vostok em 1961, em termos de altitude e horas do dia, o documentarista britânico Christopher Riley e o astronauta italiano Paolo Nespoli, da Agência Espacial Europeia, filmaram a vista que Yuri Gagarin teria tido durante seu voo pioneiro.
