- فهمي شريف الحج مصطفى العبوشي ، فلسطيني من مدينة جنين ولد عام 1895 وتوفي عام 1975، كان أحد رواد الحركة الوطنية الفلسطينية إبان الانتداب البريطاني، حيث كان أحد مؤسسي حزب الإستقلال العربي عام 1932 وشغل أيضا ً منصب رئيس بلدية جنين ما بين عام 1934 حتى 1938. وشغل منصب مدير بنك الأمة العربي في جنين ما بين عام 1944-1948وتم تصنيفه من قبل بيان نويهض الحوت في كتابها القيادة والمؤسسات الفلسطينية ما بين 1918-1948، كواحد من ضمن 100 شخصية فلسطينية كان لها دور القيادة في الحركة الوطنية الفلسطينية ابان الانتداب البريطاني. - Fahmi al-Abboushi (1895–1975; Arabic: فهمي العبّوشي) was the co-founder of the Arab nationalist political party Hizb al-Istiqlal (Independence Party) in Palestine along with his close associate Awni Abd al-Hadi. Abboushi was Mayor of Jenin from 1935 until he was dismissed from the post by the British in 1937, after which he lived in exile in Beirut, Lebanon. Abboushi was the chairman of the Arab Bank, Jenin branch, in the 1940s. He also served on numerous national committees during and after the British Mandate of Palestine. He was known for his oratory skills. (en)

Abboushi était le maire de Jénine de 1935 jusqu'en 1937, date où il a été écarté de ce poste par les britanniques. Il s'exile à Beyrouth, au Liban après cet évènement. Dans les années 1940, Abboushi était le président de la présente à Jénine. Il a également fait partie de nombreux comités nationaux avant et après le mandat britannique en Palestine.
