- El Fons Europeu Agrícola de Desenvolupament Rural (FEADER) és un instrument de finançament i programació de la Política Agrícola Comuna (PAC), especialment el «segon pilar» de la PAC (aparegut en l'Agenda 2000 europea i formalitzat per un Reglament comunitari, en el desenvolupament rural), el «primer pilar» està dedicat «a les mesures de mercat» i els ajuts anomenats de «superfície». El seu objectiu és millorar aquesta gestió i la política de control de desenvolupament rural per al període 2007-2013 i 2014-2020. (ca)
- Der Europäische Landwirtschaftsfonds für die Entwicklung des ländlichen Raums, meist nur unter seiner Kurzbezeichnung ELER bekannt, fördert die Entwicklung des ländlichen Raums in der Europäischen Union. Er ist einer der fünf Europäischen Struktur- und Investitionsfonds, der die sogenannte 2. (Strukturpolitik-) Säule der gemeinsamen EU-Agrarpolitik (GAP) finanziert, und soll die landwirtschaftlichen Direktzahlungen in der 1. Säule der GAP flankieren. Der ELER wurde durch eine Verordnung des Rates der Europäischen Union vom 20. September 2005 errichtet und nahm seine Tätigkeit im Jahre 2007 auf. Der ELER löste einen Teil des Europäischen Ausrichtungs- und Garantiefonds für die Landwirtschaft (EAGFL) ab. Im ELER haben die Mitgliedsstaaten (in Deutschland die Bundesländer) Spielräume bei der Ausgestaltung einzelner EU-geförderter Maßnahmen. Ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des ELER sind Agrarumweltmaßnahmen, die landwirtschaftliche Bewirtschaftungsänderungen im Sinne des Umwelt- oder Naturschutzes honorieren. Die Bewertung von ELER-geförderten Maßnahmen bezüglich der Auswirkungen auf Umwelt- und Naturschutz fallen gemischt aus. Neben effektiven Maßnahmen finden sich je nach Bundesland auch viele nicht-effektive. (de)

- Le Fonds européen agricole pour le développement rural (FEADER) est l'un des fonds structurels et d'investissement européens de l'Union européenne. - Europejski Fundusz Rolny na rzecz Rozwoju Obszarów Wiejskich (EFRROW) (ang. European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, EAFRD) − jeden z pięciu europejskich funduszy strukturalnych i inwestycyjnych Unii Europejskiej, wspierający realizację wspólnej polityki rolnej Unii Europejskiej na lata 2007-2013. Zadaniem funkcjonowania funduszu jest stworzenie możliwości ukierunkowania środków finansowych pochodzących z budżetu wspólnotowego na wzrost gospodarczy, tworzenie miejsc pracy oraz zrównoważony rozwój obszarów wiejskich. Sześć strategicznych wytycznych wspólnej polityki rolnej to:
* poprawa konkurencyjności sektorów rolnictwa i leśnictwa,
* poprawa stanu środowiska naturalnego i terenów wiejskich,
* poprawa jakości życia na obszarach wiejskich i promowanie dywersyfikacji,
* budowanie lokalnych zdolności zatrudnienia i dywersyfikacji,
* realizacja priorytetów za pomocą programów,
* uzupełnianie się instrumentów wspólnotowych. Według założeń programowych, w Polsce − w latach 2007-2013 − realizowany ma być model wielofunkcyjnego rozwoju wsi, wynikający z realizowanej przez Wspólnotę polityki niwelowania różnic rozwojowych między poszczególnymi regionami Unii Europejskiej.
