- L'eritrasma és una infecció superficial de la pell que provoca taques (màcules) de pell marronosa i escatosa. És causada per , que forma part de la flora de la pell (els microorganismes que normalment estan presents a la pell) normal. Hi ha dos tipus d'eritrasma: generalitzat i localitzat (interdigital i de plecs, com aixelles i engonals). No només es tracta d'un trastorn estètic desagradable, a més, semblaria que l'eritrasma disciforme pot ser un signe precoç de la diabetis mellitus tipus 2. L'eritrasma generalitzat és més freqüent en la diabetis mellitus tipus 2, on les lesions van més enllà de les zones del cos on la pell es frega. És prevalent entre els diabètics i els obesos, i en climes càlids; i s'agreuja amb roba oclusiva. La presència d'eritrasma és aproximadament del 4% i és més probable que es trobi a les zones subtropicals i tropicals en comparació amb la resta del món. Es troba més comunament en afroamericans a causa de la pell més fosca i, tot i que ambdós sexes es veuen afectats, se sol trobar més freqüentment en els homes en les regions de la cuixa i la cama. Un gran contribuent a aquesta infecció és un sistema immunitari afeblit que ve amb l'envelliment, per tant, els ancians són més susceptibles a aquesta malaltia que els joves; això no vol dir que els joves no es vegin afectats. - Erythrasma is a superficial skin infection that causes brown, scaly skin patches. It is caused by Corynebacterium minutissimum bacteria, a normal part of skin flora (the microorganisms that are normally present on the skin). There are two types of erythrasma: generalized and interdigital. Interdigital is the most common bacterial infection of the feet and normally does not show any symptoms. Not only is this an aesthetically unappealing condition, but there is evidence to support that disciform erythrasma can be an early sign of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The generalized erythrasma is most commonly seen in type 2 diabetes mellitus where the lesions go beyond the areas of the body where skin is rubbing together. It is prevalent among diabetics and the obese, and in warm climates; it is worsened by wearing occlusive clothing. The presence of erythrasma is approximately 4% and is more likely to be found in the subtropical and tropical areas compared to the rest of the world. It is found more commonly in African Americans due to the darker skin and even though both sexes are affected, it is usually found more frequently in males for the thigh and leg regions. A great contributor to this infection is a weakened immune system which comes with aging, therefore the elderly are more susceptible to this disease than the young; this does not mean the young cannot be affected. The epidemiology background of erythrasma remains partially unsolved. (en)
- L'érythrasma est une infection cutanée fréquente à Corynebacterium minutissimum (bactérie saprophyte). L'infection est localisée dans les plis (creux axillaire, creux inguinal, pli inter-fessier…) et consiste en une macule bien délimitée, de couleur rouge-brun avec de fines squames. Les facteurs favorisants sont le diabète, l'obésité, une transpiration excessive. Le diagnostic est fait à l'examen microscopique direct, ou à la lumière de Wood (fluorescence rouge). Le diagnostic différentiel est à faire avec la dermatophytose inguino-crurale (anciennement dénommé eczéma marginé de Hébra) grâce à une lampe de Wood (fluorescence rougeâtre saumonée). Le traitement consiste en des soins d'hygiène quotidiens avec un savon antiseptique contenant des trichlorcarbanilides et une antibiothérapie locale, off-label : Fucidin, Acnéryne gel, Erythromycine, pendant deux semaines, parfois associée aux crèmes imidazolées. - Erythrasma is een oppervlakkige infectie van de huid met de bacterie Corynebacterium minutissimum, meestal op plaatsen waar huidplooien elkaar raken (bijvoorbeeld lies, oksel, onder de borsten). De huid verkleurt vrij sterk rood tot bruinrood. Het beeld kan lijken op een gewone schimmelinfectie of op eczeem, maar bij beschijnen met ultraviolet licht treedt een koraalrode fluorescentie op. De aandoening is onschuldig en heeft verschillende mogelijke behandelingen. Eerste keus is meestal topische antibiotica zoals een crème of zalf met Fusidinezuurof een Erytromycinelotion. Topische antimycotica kunnen ook aangewend worden. Bij therapieresistente erythrasma kunnen systemische antibiotica aangewend worden. (nl)
