Erik Jacquemyn (born 1958) is a Belgian scientist. In 1985 he became the Flemish Government’s Minister-President’s science and technology advisor. He was instrumental in the establishment of the Flemish Science Week, Flanders Science Week, the Science Festival, and the Science Truck among others. In 2000 he established Belgium’s first scientific hands-on centre – the Technopolis. In 2011 he became Chair of the International Program Committee (IPC).
