- Emerik Derenčin (Hungarian: Imre Derencsényi, Croatian: Mirko Derenčin) was a Hungarian-Croatian nobleman remembered as the commander of the Croatian troops in the 1493 Battle of Krbava Field. He was a member of the Derencsényi family from the kindred of Balog. Prior to becoming the ban, Derenčin was the military captain of Senj, and the . Derencsényi and John Both were named the Ban of Croatia and Dalmatia and Ban of Slavonia in 1493. In the Battle of Krbava Field, the Croats under Derenčin suffered a devastating loss, and Derenčin himself was taken captive and killed. (en)

Il fut l'un commandants des forces croates lors de la bataille de Corbavie en 1493 qui vit la défaite de l'armée croate-hongroise face aux forces ottomanes. Ban de Jajce (1490-1492) puis capitaine de Senj (1492-1493), Derencsényi et János Both de Bajna sont nommés ban de Croatie, Dalmatie et Slavonie en 1493. János Both de Bajna est tué au cours de la sanglante bataille de Corbavie, Derencsényi est lui capturé et déporté en Anatolie où il meurt quelques mois plus tard. Il est membre de la famille famille Derencsényi de genere Balog. Il épousa Orsolya Zápolya, sœur d’Étienne Zapolya († 1499), palatin de Hongrie. Ils eurent deux fils et probablement une fille. (fr)

W bitwie zginęli brat i syn Emeryka, on sam zaś dostał się do niewoli. Został później zesłany na wyspę, gdzie zmarł po kilku miesiącach. Był żonaty z Urszulą Zapolya, córką Władysława, pana Solymos.
