- Ellesmere ist eine oberirdische U-Bahn-Station in Toronto. Sie liegt an der Scarborough-Linie der Toronto Subway, an der Ellesmere Road zwischen Kennedy Road und Midland Avenue. Die Station besitzt ebenerdige Seitenbahnsteige und wird täglich von durchschnittlich 1.770 Fahrgästen genutzt (2018); sie ist damit die mit Abstand am schwächsten frequentierte des gesamten Netzes. Grund für die geringe Auslastung ist die Lage in einem Gewerbegebiet geringer Dichte. Es besteht eine Umsteigemöglichkeit zu einer Buslinie der Toronto Transit Commission. Außerdem steht den Pendlern ein Park-and-ride mit 68 Parkplätzen zur Verfügung. Die Strecke folgt in diesem Bereich der Trasse der Canadian National Railway; nördlich der Station unterquert die U-Bahn in einem kurzen Tunnel die Eisenbahntrasse und beschreibt dabei eine enge 90°-Kurve, um anschließend auf einen Viadukt zu gelangen. Die Eröffnung der Station erfolgte am 24. März 1985, zusammen mit der gesamten Scarborough-Linie zwischen Kennedy und McCowan. Gemäß aktuellen Planungen wird die Scarborough-Linie durch eine Verlängerung der Bloor-Danforth-Linie ersetzt werden, jedoch auf einer anderen Route. Ellesmere is the least-used station on the entire TTC network. On average, only 1,850 passengers boarded trains here each day in 2006–2007 and only 1,678 in 2007–2008. Part of the reason for this is that there are no bus bays or at least a direct connection to any bus stop at the station; passengers would have to walk to the nearest bus stop on Ellesmere Road. In February 2021, the TTC recommended the closure of Line 3 in 2023 and its replacement by bus service until the completion of the Scarborough extension of Line 2 Bloor–Danforth.
