The early iPhone processors were the processors used in iPhone models released between 2007 and 2010. Samsung designed and manufactured these chips to Apple's specifications. Apple later switched to designing their chips in-house after their acquisition of Intrinsity and PA Semi, leading to the creation of the Apple A4 used in the iPhone 4.
