- Don Jowett (eigentlich Donald Winston Jowett; * 4. März 1931 in Wellington; † 20. Juli 2011 in Brisbane, Australien) war ein neuseeländischer Sprinter. 1950 gewann er bei den British Empire Games in Auckland Bronze über 220 Yards. Bei den British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver siegte er über 220 Yards und errang Silber über 440 Yards. Dreimal wurde er Neuseeländischer Meister über 220 Yards (1952–1954) und viermal über 440 Yards (1953–1955, 1957). Seine Tochter nahm als Sprinterin an den Olympischen Spielen 1976 teil. (de)
- Donald Winston Jowett OAM (4 March 1931 – 21 July 2011) was a New Zealand sprinter and rugby union player who represented his country at the 1950 and 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games, winning a bronze medal in 1950, and gold and silver medals in 1954. Jowett won seven New Zealand national athletics titles: the 220 yards in 1952, 1953, and 1954; and the 440 yards in 1953, 1954, 1955, and 1957. He also won five national titles at under-19 level: the 440 yards in 1945, 1946, and 1947; and the 880 yards in 1946 and 1947. Besides athletics, Jowett played rugby for Otago in 1957. He later moved to Queensland where he was involved in rugby and athletics administration, coaching and refereeing. In the 2005 Australia Day Honours, Jowett was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for service to sport, particularly athletics, as an administrator, technical official and coach, and to the community through church and welfare organisations. His daughter Sue Jowett became an Olympic sprinter. Don Jowett died on 21 July 2011. (en)

Na kolejnych igrzyskach Imperium Brytyjskiego i Wspólnoty Brytyjskiej w 1954 w Vancouver zwyciężył w biegu na 220 jardów (przed Brianem Shentonem z Anglii i Kenem Jonesem z Walii) oraz zdobył srebrny medal w biegu na 440 jardów (za Kevanem Gosperem z Australii, a przed z Kanady). Był mistrzem Nowej Zelandii w biegu na 220 jardów w latach 1951/1952, 1952/1953 i 1953/1954 oraz w biegu na 440 jardów w latach 1952/1953, 1953/1954, 1954/1955 i 1956/1957. Ustanowił rekordy Nowej Zelandii w biegu na 440 jardów czasem 47,4 s (7 sierpnia 1954 w Vancouver) i w sztafecie 4 × 110 jardów wynikiem 42,3 s (11 marca 1955 w Auckland). Był również zawodnikiem rugby union w drużynie Otago. W 2. połowie lat 1950. przeniósł się do Australii. Był działaczem i sędzią lekkoatletycznym w Queensland, a także sędzią rugby. W 2005 został odznaczony medalem Orderu Australii. Jego córka była również sprinterką.
