El proyecto cuenta con el apoyo de la Cámara Cívica de la Federación Rusa. A partir de marzo de 2019, 276 personas participaron en los concursos: crearon y ampliaron más de 18,700 artículos de Wikipedia. En diciembre de 2018, "Descubre Rusia" se convirtió en el ganador del concurso de toda Rusia Voluntario ruso como un proyecto educativo. (es)

Информационную поддержку проекта осуществляет Общественная палата и МИД РФ, президент РФ 16 января 2018 года поручил органам власти РФ оказывать конкурсу содействие. По данным на апрель 2020 года в конкурсах приняли участие 405 человек, создавшие и дополнившие более 23 800 википедийных статей. (ru)
