- La Sagrada Congregació per al Clergat és una Congregació de la Cúria Romana responsable de supervisar els assumptes relatius als diaques que no pertanyen a ordes religiosos. Aquesta congregació s'encarrega de les sol·licituds de dispensa del ministeri sacerdotal actiu, així com la legislació que regeix els consells presbiterials i altres organitzacions de sacerdots. El 25 de gener de 2012 el papa Benet XVI va emetre un motu proprio per a donar-li també la responsabilitat de regular els seminaris catòlics, que fins llavors tenia la Congregació per a l'Educació Catòlica. Anteriormente lo fueron los ya fallecidos cardenales Darío Castrillón Hoyos (Colombia) y Cláudio Hummes (Brasil) El Dicasterio para el Clero tiene sus orígenes en la "Sacra Congregatio Cardinalium Concilii Tridentini interpretum" instituida por el Papa Pío IV en la constitución apostólica Alias Nos el 2 de agosto de 1564. La Congregación estuvo encargada de las reformas a que se llamó en el Concilio de Trento. Desde entonces fue conocida como Sagrada Congregación del Concilio, hasta la constitución apostólica del Papa Pablo VI Regimini Ecclesiae universae de 1967. El 19 de marzo de 2022, el papa Francisco publica la constitución apostólica Praedicate evangelium por la que la Congregación se convierte en Dicasterio. (es)

Kepala kongregasi saat ini adalah Cláudio Cardinal Hummes, dan sekretarsinya adalah Uskup Agung Mauro Piacenza. Kongregasi bagi Para Imam berasal dari "Sacra Congregatio Cardinalium Concilii Tridentini interpretum" yang dibentuk oleh Paus Pius IV dalam konstitusi apostoliknya Alias Nos pada tanggal 2 Agustus 1564. Kongregasi ini bertanggung-jawab untuk memastikan reformasi-reformasi yang disebutkan di dalam Konsili Trente ditaati di seluruh Gereja Katolik. Oleh karenanya institusi ini dikenal sebagai Kongregasi Suci Konsili sebelum adanya konstitusi apostolik Paus Paulus VI Regimini Ecclesiae Universae pada tahun 1967. Kongregasi bagi Para Imam menangani berbagai permintaan untuk dispensasi dari pelayanan imam yang sedang aktif, dan juga undang-undang yang mengatur dewan-dewan pastoran dan organisasi imam lainnya di seluruh dunia.
