- El Partit Democràtic d'Eslovènia (eslovè Demokratska stranka Slovenije, DSS) fou un partit polític eslovè fundat el 1994 quan la majoria del Partit Democràtic (Demokratska Stranka) dirigida per Dimitrij Rupel es va unir a la governant Liberal Democràcia d'Eslovènia. Una minoria del partit decidí mantenir-se a l'oposició i continuar el llegat del partit. El Partit Democràtic es va fundar el 1991 com a resultat d'una escissió en la . El maig de 1992 el nou partit entrà en la coalició de govern de Janez Drnovšek, que rebia el suport del sector esquerrà de la (juntament amb el Partit Demòcrata, també el Partit Socialdemòcrata i els Verds d'Eslovènia), la Llista Unida de Socialdemòcrates i el Partit Liberal Democràtic. Els demòcrates van obtenir tres ministeris en el govern, (Interior), Dimitrij Rupel (Exteriors) i (Informació). A les eleccions legislatives eslovenes de 1992 va obtenir el 5,01% dels vots i 6 diputats. EL 1994, la majoria de membres del partit i 3 dels sis diputats decidiren unir-se a Liberal Democràcia d'Eslovènia. Una minoria va refundar el partit i continuà una activitat política independent, però a les eleccions legislatives eslovenes de 1996 només va obtenir el 3,3% i cap escó a l'Assemblea. Els resultats foren encara pitjors a les eleccions de 2000 (0,75%) i a les de 2004 (0,25%). El 2007 el partit va signar un acord de cooperació amb els socialdemòcrates. (ca)

Strana vznikla v roce 1994, kdy původní Demokratickou stranu (Demokratska stranka) opustila skupina kolem , která přešla do Liberální demokracie Slovinska. - The Democratic Party of Slovenia (Slovene: Demokratska stranka Slovenije) is an extra-parliamentary centrist political party in Slovenia. It was established in March 1994, when the majority of the then existing Democratic Party (Slovene: Demokratska stranka) led by Dimitrij Rupel joined the ruling Liberal Democracy of Slovenia. A minority of the party membership decided to stay in opposition and continue the legacy of the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party was established in October 1991 as the result of the split within the Slovenian Democratic Union. In May 1992, the party entered the coalition government of Janez Drnovšek, supported by the left wing of the former DEMOS coalition (besides the Democratic Party, also the Social Democratic Party of Slovenia and the Greens of Slovenia), the United List of Social Democrats and the Liberal Democratic Party. The Democrats retained three ministers in the government, Igor Bavčar (Interior), Dimitrij Rupel (Exterior) and Jelko Kacin (Information). In the second free elections in Slovenia, celebrated in autumn of 1992, the party gained 5.01% of the vote and 6 MPs. In 1994, the majority of the party membership and 3 of its 6 MPs decided to join the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia. The minority of the party re-founded the party and continued an independent political activity. In the election of 1996, the Democratic Party received 3.3% of the vote and remained without parliamentary representation. In 2007, the party signed a cooperation agreement with the Social Democrats. De partij is voortgekomen uit de Democratische Partij, die in 1994 opging in de Liberale Democratie van Slovenië. De partij heeft sinds haar bestaan geen succes geboekt: bij landelijke verkiezingen behaalde zij 2,68 % (1996), 0,75% (2000), 0,28 % (2004), hetgeen geen zetels opleverde. De Democratische Partij is sporadisch in het lokaal bestuur vertegenwoordigd. Voorzitter is Mihael Jurak. (nl)

Il partito nacque nel 1994 come rifondazione del Partito Democratico, la cui maggioranza aveva deciso di aderire a Democrazia Liberale di Slovenia. Aderirono al partito 3 dei 6 parlamentari del Partito Democratico (France Bučar, Anton Peršak e Danica Simšič). Alle successive elezioni del 1996, il partito ottenne il 2,68% dei voti e nessun seggio. Da allora non è più riuscito a tornare all'Assemblea nazionale. Nel 1997 il presidente del partito Anton Peršak corse per la carica di Presidente della Repubblica, ottenendo il 3,08%. Nel 2007 fu siglato un accordo di cooperazione con i Socialdemocratici. (it)
