- Virózy včel jsou choroby včely medonosné způsobené viry. Z chovatelského hlediska byla jejich role zanedbatelná. Význam včelích viróz vzrostl s rozšířením cizopasného roztoče kleštíka včelího. Tento škůdce se ukázal jako hlavní přenašeč virových infekcí v populaci včel. Výzkumy napovídají, že jako mezihostitel zvyšuje patogenitu některých druhů viru. Nárůst virových infekcí včelstev na začátku 21. století časově předcházel a je tudíž jednou z možných příčin dosud neobjasněného jevu Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) neboli syndromu zhroucení včelstev. - Das Flügeldeformationsvirus (auch Krüppelflügelvirus, wissenschaftlich Deformed Wing Virus, DWV) ist ein RNA-Virus aus der Gattung der Iflaviren (Iflaviridae), das über ein einsträngiges RNA-Genom verfügt und pathologische Effekte bei Honigbienen auslöst, weshalb das Virus auch Gegenstand eingehender wissenschaftlicher Untersuchungen ist. Dieser Umstand ist nicht zuletzt darauf zurückzuführen, dass es ganze Bienenkolonien vernichten und dadurch erhebliche wirtschaftliche Schäden verursachen kann. Es ist einer von 22 bekannten pathogenen Viren der Honigbiene (siehe auch Liste von Bienenkrankheiten) und weiterer Bienenarten (z. B. Dunkle Erdhummel und Ackerhummel). Symptome bei adulten Bienen sind Verformungen der Flügel, aufgeblähter Hinterleib und sichtbare Verfärbungen. Infizierte Larven sind nicht lebensfähig und sterben unmittelbar nach dem Schlüpfen. Entdeckt wurde das Virus in den frühen 1980er Jahren in Japan. (de)
- Deformed wing virus (DWV) is an RNA virus, one of 22 known viruses affecting honey bees. While most commonly infecting the honey bee, Apis mellifera, it has also been documented in other bee species, like Bombus terrestris, thus, indicating it may have a wider host specificity than previously anticipated. The virus was first isolated from a sample of symptomatic honeybees from Japan in the early 1980s and is currently distributed worldwide. It is found also in pollen baskets and commercially reared bumblebees. Its main vector in A. mellifera is the Varroa mite. It is named after what is usually the most obvious deformity it induces in the development of a honeybee pupa, which is shrunken and deformed wings, but other developmental deformities are often present. Les sujets touchés par ce virus présentent comme symptôme des ailes complètement rétrécies empêchant l'abeille de voler. Le DWV se transmet par un parasite, l'acarien Varroa qui parasite les abeilles . Le premier cas d'infection a été découvert dans les années 1980 au Japon et s'est depuis diffusé dans le monde. (fr)
