- الجركفارة (الاسم العلمي:Dearcmhara) هو جنس من الزواحف البحرية ظهر في أوائل وبقي إلى منتصف العصر الجوراسي منذ حوالي 170 مليون سنة وتم التعرف عليه من بقايا أحفورية وجدت في جزيرة سكاي في اسكتلندا. النوع النمطي هو الجركفارة الشوكروسية. تم اكتشاف بقايا أحفورية مجزأة لهذا الحيوان من قبل صيادي الأحافير الهواة في عام 1959 وتم التبرع بها في وقت لاحق إلى المتحف ولكن تم الإعلان بعد بحث علمي في عام 2014 أن هذه الأحافير تعود إلى أنواع لم تكن معروفة سابقا. الاسم العلمي ديرمهارة يلفظ بالغيلية الاسكتلندية جركفارة وتعني «العظاءة البحرية». - Dearcmhara es un género extinto de ictiosaurio que vivió entre inicios a mediados del período Jurásico, hace unos 170 millones de años, siendo conocido a partir de restos fósiles hallados en la isla de Skye en Escocia, Reino Unido. La especie tipo y única conocida es Dearcmhara shawcrossi. (es)
- Dearcmhara (pronounced like "jark vara"; Scottish Gaelic: "marine lizard") is a genus of marine reptile from the early to mid-Jurassic period around 170 million years ago, known from fossil remains found on the island of Skye in Scotland. The type species is Dearcmhara shawcrossi. Fragmentary fossil remains of the animal were discovered by an amateur fossil hunter in 1959 and were subsequently donated to a museum, but it was not until 2014 that a scientific research project determined that the fossils were of a previously unknown species.
