- Řízený okrsek (angl. Control Zone, zkratka CTR) je výraz pro úsek vzdušného prostoru obvykle ve tvaru svislého válce v těsném okolí řízeného letiště. Slouží k ochraně provozu na letištích a letadel letících po okruhu. Prostor sahá od zemského povrchu do určité výšky, obvykle více než 915 m (3000 stop). Např. pro letiště Praha Ruzyně a letiště Vodochody je to 3500 ft AMSL (stop nad hladinou moře). Pro letiště Karlovy Vary je to 3500 ft (AMSL), tedy na spodní hranici TMA. Obdobně pro Ostravu Mošnov je to 2500 ft (AMSL) ke spodní hranici TMA. V ostatních zemích může být tato výška různá. Na ní navazuje koncová řízená oblast jejíž rozsah je 9 až 80 km (především ve směru vzletové a přistávací dráhy). CTR má často půdorys kruhu sjednoceného s obdélníkem. Vzdušný prostor v CTR bývá třídy D (TMA Praha je třídy C). Letadla v TMA jsou předmětem a musí udržovat spojení s orgány ŘLP. Pro vstup do CTR je povinnost mít:
* oboustranné radiové spojení
* letový plán
* schválený let Provoz v CTR je obvykle řízen řídící věží (stanoviště TWR). Ohrožení provozu v CTR prostoru může být kvalifikováno jako trestný čin obecného ohrožení. Do tohoto úseku nesmí piloti bez kvalifikace , typicky paraglidy, rogala či ultralighty. (cs)

Die Kontrolle in diesem Luftraum unterliegt einem Fluglotsen. Eine Kontrollzone dient dem Zweck, im Bereich hoher Verkehrsdichte den an-, ab- und durchfliegenden Sichtflug-Verkehr (VFR) mit dem (ohnehin von der Flugverkehrskontrolle geleiteten) Instrumentenflug-Verkehr (IFR) zu koordinieren. - A control zone (CTR) in aviation is a volume of controlled airspace, usually situated below a control area, normally around an airport, which extends from the surface to a specified upper limit, established to protect air traffic operating to and from that airport. Because CTRs are, by definition, controlled airspace, aircraft can only fly in it after receiving a specific clearance from air traffic control. This means that air traffic control at the airport know exactly which aircraft are in that airspace, and can take steps to ensure aircraft are aware of each other, either using separation or by passing traffic information. In the USA the term control zone is no longer used and has been replaced by airspace class D. Typically it extends 5 miles in diameter with a height of 2500 ft AGL (above ground level) around small commercial airports. Aircraft are required to establish radio contact with the control tower before entering and to maintain in contact while in class D airspace. This implies that an aircraft must be equipped with at least a portable radio to fly in Class D airspace. In the UK, control zones are normally class D airspace and usually extend from the surface to 2000 ft AGL. They can be observed to be usually rectangular, extending along the axis of the main runway, although irregular shapes may be used where more complex airspace dictates this (see Liverpool and East Midlands). A control area (CTA) is often placed between a CTR and nearby airways to give uninterrupted controlled airspace to airways arrivals and departures. In Germany, control zones are a special type of class D airspace, called D (CTR). The main difference to the regular German class D airspace is, that within a CTR there is a minimum required cloud ceiling of 1500 ft AGL. (en)
- Une CTR (de l'anglais control zone ou control traffic region ), est un espace aérien réglementé, destiné à protéger les vols à l'arrivée ou au départ d'un aérodrome. Les règles de l'air définissent une zone de contrôle (CTR) comme un espace aérien contrôlé s’étendant verticalement à partir de la surface jusqu’à une limite supérieure spécifiée. Il peut être de classe A, B, C, D. Cet espace entoure un aérodrome et peut être situé sous une ou plusieurs TMA. La limite inférieure d'une CTR est dans la plupart des cas le sol. La limite inférieure d'une TMA, par contre, n'est jamais le sol. En France, les CTR sont généralement de classe D, y compris en région parisienne. La classe E n'est plus utilisée pour les zones de contrôle depuis le 1er janvier 2007. Le plus souvent situé sous une TMA, le rôle des CTR est d'englober les axes d'arrivée et de départ, ainsi que de protéger la circulation d'aérodrome. Les CTR sont gérées par la tour, l'entrée dans ces zones est soumise à clairance. En général, le plafond d'une CTR ne dépasse pas les 3 000 pieds au-dessus du niveau de la mer, ou 1 000 pieds au-dessus du sol. Leurs positions et limites horizontales sont publiées sur les cartes VAC (carte d'approche à vue) ainsi que sur les cartes 1/500 000 et 1/1 000 000. (fr)

Dit luchtruim wordt door de luchtverkeersleiding beheerd vanuit de verkeerstoren. De luchtverkeersleiding is er verantwoordelijk voor dat alle vliegtuigen voldoende afstand tot elkaar hebben binnen dit gebied.
