- CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing) je online metoda sběru dotazníkových dat. Používá se pro kvantitativní, ale čím dál tím častěji také kvalitativní výzkum. Dotazníky jsou distribuovány pomocí webových odkazů, které dotazníky zpřístupní. Odpovědi se zaznamenají v elektronické podobě, což umožňuje jejich rychlé a efektivní zpracování. (cs)
- Computer-assisted web interviewing (CAWI) is an Internet surveying technique in which the interviewee follows a script provided in a website. The questionnaires are made in a program for creating web interviews. The program allows for the questionnaire to contain pictures, audio and video clips, links to different web pages, etc. The website is able to customize the flow of the questionnaire based on the answers provided, as well as information already known about the participant. It is considered to be a cheaper way of surveying since one doesn't need to use people to hold surveys unlike computer-assisted telephone interviewing. With the increasing use of the Internet, online questionnaires have become a popular way of collecting information. The design of an online questionnaire has a dramatic effect on the quality of data gathered. There are many factors in designing an online questionnaire; guidelines, available question formats, administration, quality and ethic issues should be reviewed. Online questionnaires should be seen as a sub-set of a wider-range of online research methods. (en)
- Un sondage en ligne ou sondage par Internet, en anglais Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing (aussi nommé Computer-Aided Web Interview ou CAWI) désigne un système de sondage auto-administré en ligne : l'interviewé répond à un questionnaire sur un site web. Cette technologie a été développée dans les années 1990 pour des entités politiques et/ou commerciales. Des moyens numériques permettent d'y inclure du texte, des graphiques, éventuellement interactifs, des images, de l'audio, des vidéos, des liens vers différentes pages web, etc. La plateforme de sondage en ligne peut être « intelligente » (i.e. évoluer au fur et à mesure des réponses fournies préalablement ou des informations déjà connues sur le participant). Le Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing est moins coûteux que le sondage téléphonique assisté par ordinateur parce qu'il ne requiert pas l'utilisation d'une personne pour administrer le questionnaire. Avec l'utilisation croissante d'Internet, les sondages en ligne sont devenus un moyen populaire de collecte d'informations. Ce type de sondage (ici en outre associée à une IP) pose des questions particulières de protection des données personnelles volontairement ou involontairement données par le sondé, éventuellement mineur ou handicapé mental (données personnelles relevant dans tous les cas en Europe du règlement européen RGPD). - I software per sondaggi online, noti anche come CAWI (Computer Assisted Web Interviewing), sono speciali programmi informatici utilizzati per realizzare e gestire sondaggi online (in inglese surveys). Tra questi software, alcuni sono anche in grado di raccogliere dati provenienti da interviste telefoniche (CATI, Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) e da interviste dirette (CAPI, Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing). I primi programmi vennero introdotti sul mercato agli inizi degli anni ottanta; attualmente sono disponibili numerosi pacchetti software, più o meno complessi, che possono essere divisi in due categorie:
* software offerti come servizio in ASP;
* software distribuiti come licenze da installare sul proprio server aziendale. Alcuni software richiedono l'installazione sul proprio client di un applicativo offline per la costruzione e l'amministrazione del questionario; altri operano attraverso un'applicazione accessibile via Internet (web based).Per quanto riguarda i prezzi, si va dalle migliaia di euro dei prodotti commerciali a quelli gratuiti rilasciati con licenza GPL (il più famoso è LimeSurvey). O entrevistador é orientado durante a entrevista seguindo um algoritmo disponibilizado pelo computador. Esse software tem a capacidade de configurar a ordem e o tipo de questões baseando-se nas respostas anteriores, ou na informação conhecida sobre o participante. A empresa pioneira no Brasil foi a Brazil Panels iniciou com coleta de dados online em 2000 no Brasil fundada por Claudio Vasques. A coleta de dados CAWI consiste em convite por e-mail ou aplicativo enviado aos usuários cadastrados em um painel. (pt)
